From grid interconnection to facility compliance — the full electrical-study scope, delivered fast and defensible.

Grid line · in front of the meter

Interconnection studies

Every inverter-based resource — solar, wind, storage — and every large-load interconnection must pass electromagnetic-transient (EMT) studies in PSCAD before it can connect to the grid. It is the mandated, jammed step between a signed project and an energized one. We clear it.

EMT / PSCAD

EMT model build & validation

Plant-level EMT models built and validated per FERC Order 2023, which requires validated EMT models wherever an EMT study is run.

NERC PRC-029-1

Ride-through compliance assessment

Prove your inverter-based resources ride through grid faults instead of tripping offline — the EMT-study job at the heart of the new standard.

DEADLINES Oct 1, 2026 — bulk electric system · Jan 1, 2027 — non-BES
Scenario batteries

Fault & transient scenario batteries

Systematic sweeps of faults, disturbances, and operating conditions — the full scenario matrix your grid operator expects, run and documented.

Queue support

Interconnection-queue study support

Study deliverables and analysis support for projects working through the interconnection queue — so the study step is never the reason you wait.

OEM validation

OEM PSCAD model validation

Validation of inverter and turbine manufacturer PSCAD models against required behavior — so one model failure does not stall an entire fleet of projects.

How it holds up

Auditable line by line

Every deliverable is PE-stamped by licensed professional engineers, auditable line by line, and built for grid-operator acceptance — the opposite of a black box.

Facility line · behind the meter

Short-circuit, coordination & arc-flash studies

OSHA and NFPA 70E require an arc-flash risk assessment, reviewed whenever the system changes and at least every 5 years, per IEEE 1584. NEC 110.24 requires available-fault-current labeling. This is recurring, mandated work for data centers, industrial plants, hospitals, and campuses — and we run it in SKM PTW / ETAP.

Short-circuit

Short-circuit studies

Available fault current calculated across the system, verifying equipment ratings and satisfying NEC 110.24 labeling requirements.

Coordination

Protective-device coordination

Time-current curve (TCC) analysis and device-setting coordination — so a fault trips the nearest device, not the whole facility.

Arc-flash · NFPA 70E

Arc-flash studies

Incident-energy calculations, PPE categories, and equipment labeling per IEEE 1584 and NFPA 70E — the assessment OSHA expects you to have.

Load-flow

Load-flow studies

Steady-state voltage, loading, and capacity analysis — know what your system can carry before you add to it.

One-lines

One-line diagram development

Accurate, current one-line diagrams built or brought up to date — the foundation every other facility study stands on.

For EPC / MEP firms

White-label overflow capacity

Your backlog, our engine. We deliver study capacity under your name so your firm never has to turn down work or blow a deadline.

How we deliver

A fixed, four-step process. AI-accelerated internally, engineer-reviewed always — weeks, not months.

01

Discovery call

15 minutes. We scope the study, understand the system, and pin down your deadline.

02

Scoped proposal

Fixed deliverables and a fixed schedule. You know exactly what you get and when you get it.

03

Modeling & runs

Model build, scenario batteries, and analysis — AI-accelerated internally, reviewed by an engineer at every step.

04

Deliverable & defense

A report that traces every result to a cause — and we stand behind it through reviewer questions until it is accepted.

Who we serve

Six kinds of clients, one common problem: a mandated study standing between them and their deadline.

Grid line

IBR fleet operators

The PRC-029-1 clock is running — Oct 1, 2026 for the bulk electric system — and proving ride-through compliance is an EMT-study job.

Both lines

Data centers & mission-critical facilities

You need both lines — EMT studies to connect, and arc-flash and coordination studies for your own gear once you do.

Facility line

EPC & MEP design firms

Your study backlog exceeds your bench — we are white-label overflow capacity that delivers under your name.

Grid line

Interconnection-queue developers

With median queue waits of 5+ years, you cannot afford a study surprise — know your answer early, before it costs you your position.

Facility line

Industrial & commercial facility owners

NFPA 70E compliance is a recurring cycle — reviewed when the system changes and at least every 5 years — not a one-time checkbox.

Grid line

Inverter & turbine OEMs

PSCAD model-validation deadlines put your model on the critical path of every customer project — we validate it before it becomes the bottleneck.

The compliance drivers

None of this work is optional. Four regulatory drivers set the demand — and the deadlines.

NERC PRC-029-1

Inverter-based resources must prove fault ride-through — by Oct 1, 2026 (bulk electric system) and Jan 1, 2027 (non-BES).

FERC Order 2023

Validated EMT models are required wherever an EMT study is run — no model, no study, no interconnection.

NFPA 70E + IEEE 1584

Arc-flash risk assessments must be reviewed when the system changes and at least every 5 years — recurring by design.

NEC 110.24

Equipment must be labeled with available fault current — which means a current short-circuit study behind every label.

Scope your study this week

A 15-minute discovery call is all it takes to get a scoped proposal with fixed deliverables and a fixed schedule.
